This was cause for great distress for my mother who had a fine art background and who in the pakistani way was convinced that at least one out of her two children would follow her professional footsteps.
Alas, I ended up following my dad's by embracing the world of numbers and banking and not digging it.
Fast forward my move to Philadelphia from Toronto, while I was wondering aimlessly on the streets of Philly when I came across the The Restaurant School.
That's when I decided that the mouse shaped cookies I made when I was 6 were enough to claim my love for baking and dove into the wonderful world of pastry arts. Mom happy, dad happy for all the free baked goodies he'll get!
I haven't looked back since. Today I can't imagine doing anything else! I've come a long way learning what I love to do and strive to make each design as unique as the individual.
I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I enjoy making them for you!
